1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. You may optionally provide a display name, phone number, gender, and date of birth.
Profile Information: You may voluntarily add a bio, profile photo, address, city, and state/region to your profile.
Prediction Activity: We store every match prediction you submit — including the match, your predicted score, the actual result, and whether your prediction was correct.
Battle Activity: When you participate in 1v1 prediction battles, we store your battle invitations, predictions, and outcomes.
Quiz Responses: When you take the daily quiz, we store your answers and scores.
Issue Reports: If you submit a bug report or issue, we collect your description and any screenshots you choose to upload.
Verification Documents: If account verification is required, you may upload proof documents (e.g., identification). These are stored securely and only accessed for verification purposes.
Communications: If you contact us directly (e.g., via email or support form), we collect the content of your message and your contact details.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and session duration, via Vercel Analytics.
Device Information: We may receive device type, operating system, and app version for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.
Push Notification Token: If you opt in to push notifications, we store a device token via OneSignal to deliver notifications to your device.
Security Tokens: We use Google reCAPTCHA to detect automated or abusive traffic. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. See Google's Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Provide the Service: Authenticate your account, process your predictions, calculate stats and streaks, manage battles, deliver daily quizzes, and display leaderboards.
To Communicate With You: Send account-related emails (verification codes, password resets), push notifications for match results and battle invites, and respond to your support inquiries.
To Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, optimize performance, and develop new features.
To Ensure Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and unauthorized access using reCAPTCHA and server-side security measures.
To Comply With Legal Obligations: Respond to lawful requests from authorities or enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
3. Third-Party Services
PredictPro relies on the following third-party services to function. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:

4. Data Storage & Retention
Storage Location: Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure (D1 for structured data and R2 for uploaded files).
Retention Period: We retain your account information and prediction history for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
Uploaded Files: Profile photos, issue report screenshots, and verification documents are stored in Cloudflare R2 and are deleted when no longer needed or upon account deletion.
Push Tokens: Device push tokens are removed when you disable notifications or delete your account.
5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
PredictPro uses the following cookies and similar technologies:
Session Cookies: Essential cookies used by NextAuth.js to maintain your login session. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.
Analytics Cookies: Vercel Analytics sets a minimal cookie for anonymous usage measurement. No personal identifiers are collected.
reCAPTCHA: Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies on the reCAPTCHA domain as part of its bot-detection service.
Local Storage: We may store preference data (such as theme choice and onboarding state) in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels for marketing purposes.
6. Children's Privacy
PredictPro is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. We will take steps to delete such information promptly.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification: You can update or correct inaccurate information through your profile settings or by contacting us.
Deletion: You can delete your account at any time, which will remove your personal data from our systems as described in Section 4.
Data Portability: You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Withdraw Consent: You can disable push notifications at any time via your device settings or the in-app notification preferences.
Opt-Out of Analytics: You can disable analytics tracking in the app settings if this feature is available in your region.

8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:
Password hashing using bcrypt (passwords are never stored in plain text).
Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS.
Server-side validation and sanitization of all inputs.
Rate limiting on authentication endpoints to prevent brute-force attacks.
reCAPTCHA integration to block automated abuse.
Secure session management via NextAuth.js with signed, httpOnly cookies.
Private, access-controlled storage for uploaded files.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Data Transfers
PredictPro is operated globally using Cloudflare's infrastructure. Your data may be processed in data centers located in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union. We rely on Cloudflare's Binding Corporate Rules and standard contractual clauses where applicable to ensure adequate protection for cross-border data transfers.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through an in-app notice. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Your continued use of PredictPro after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
